Changing My Name

After getting married, I made the decision to assume Colin's last name. I knew it was going to be a hassle but it really will make my life easier in the long run. For too long, too many people can't pronounce it properly or spell it right. "Wong" is just plain simple.

Here is where I have changed my name so far:
- Work and health benefits
- Bank account
- Health card
- Driver's license

Here is what is outstanding (in terms of official stuff):
- Secondary bank accounts
- Social insurance card
- Canada Revenue Agency
- Credit Cards
- Passport (but I will wait until it expires in 5 years)

And then there are all my membership cards which have my maiden name on it, including Aeroplan, Blockbuster, Starwood Preferred Customer etc.

I've given myself a deadline of our first anniversary to ensure all official documents and cards reflect my new name. I'll keep you apprised of my progress.
